JOB SUMMARY
The External Relations division represents Briercrest Christian Academy, College & Seminary to external audiences including prospective students, parents, alumni, and key influencers. The work of this department has a direct impact on the growth and stability of the institution.
The Director of Recruitment is a sales management position. The primary responsibility in this role is to ensure new student enrolment quality and quantity for Briercrest Christian Academy (high school) and Briercrest College.
QUALIFICATIONS
• A passionate supporter of the education and community experience offered by Briercrest
• The demonstration of solid Christian character and integrity that positively represents Briercrest
• A willingness to learn, adapt, and remain teachable within an atmosphere of change
• The ability to work independently, showing initiative and willingness to take risks
• The ability to work within a team
• Prior experience in sales or providing excellent customer service is an asset
• Preference will be given to candidates who have a significant connection to Briercrest Christian Academy, College, and/or Seminary
• Candidates must have earned a bachelor’s degree
o Master’s degree is considered an asset
• A clear criminal record as verified by a Criminal Record Check
• Sign and live within the Briercrest covenant agreement

a. Respond to emails, texts, social media, and phone messages within one business day.
b. Manage the annual department budget and participate on President’s Council.
i. Oversight of Recruitment incentives strategies.
c. Participate as a member of the Scholarship committees.
d. Regular reporting to NACCAP and other related organizations.
e. Be an expert deliverer of current Briercrest information.
i. Comprehensive understanding of the Briercrest website and publications.
ii. Comprehensive understanding of the history and heritage of Briercrest.
f. Manage regular communication with contacts including phone calling, personal emails, mass emails, texting, and social media messaging.
g. Participate in weekly meetings with direct supervisor.
h. Share in office procedures and coverage for team members when they are out of the office.
i. Participate in other Recruitment-related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
1. Complete Salesforce Administrator Certification within 6 months
2. Complete Marketing Cloud Account Engagement Trailmix within 3 months
3. Complete ABHE Executive Training and Certification Program (Enrollment Officers) within 2 years
4. Complete NACCAP LDEP Program within 3 years
TEAM RELATIONSHIPS
• Reports to the assigned ELT member.
• The Recruitment team is part of the larger External Relations department that includes Marketing, Alumni, Development, Productions and Youth Quake. The Vice-President of External Relations oversees this department.
