Operations Adminstrator - Full Time, Salaried ($48,000 - $52,000pa) Hamilton office based.
Executive Summary:
Christians Against Poverty, a Christian organization, partnering with local churches, with a Head Office in Hamilton, Ontario, is seeking a person-first, systems-oriented, Operations Administrator (OA).
Reporting to the Operations Director (OD), the OA is responsible for ensuring CAP is continually improving the quality and effectiveness of our internal operations and processes.
You will be joining a growing and dynamic team, dedicated to our mission to inspire and equip church communities to walk alongside people facing financial insecurity, with practical tools and innovative solutions.
We do this to demonstrate God's love and compassion for those experiencing poverty.

Key Responsibilities:
Organisational Day to day:
- Ensure CAP is running smoothly, by handling a variety of administrative functions, supporting the staff team, answering incoming calls and ensuring tasks are completed and tracked.
- Responsible for bookkeeping, relationships with outsourced IT and HR; and ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Provide cross-departmental support and assistance when required; for example during vacation times or upcoming deadline pressures.
Operational Development:
- Ensure staff and departments are maintaining and improving their Operational Checklists, SOP’s and SLA’s.
- Encourage efficiency and innovation within the organisation by recommending systems and / or processes to increase impact.
- Make sure CAP remains compliant in all our Operational commitments; including insurances, Policy updates and government filings.
Spiritual Leadership:
- Agree with CAP’s Statement of Faith.
- Participate in Staff Gatherings which include worship, Scripture reading and prayer.
- Pray with stakeholders as needed and requested
- Measure future operational decisions against the mission and values of Christians Against Poverty
- Representing CAP and communicating our vision and mission with confidence and clarity.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, in particular external phone and internal staff communications.
- Proficient skill in bookkeeping - ideally with experience using QuickBooks Online.

Experience in a fast paced and changeable environment is an asset.

Experience with Microsoft Office 365 (or similar); an ability and willingness to learn and engage with new software as needs arise.

Demonstrated skill in handling information with care and diligence.

Clearly demonstrate an ability to handle multiple tasks effectively, efficiently and with excellence.

A current Canadian driving licence.

Awareness of, and sensitivity to, the various streams of Christian Church across Canada.

Willingness to pray with supporters, staff and clients.

Compensation and Benefits:
This is a permanent, full-time position.
We offer a salary of $48,000 - $52,000 commensurate with experience.
Benefits are provided – including health benefits and pension plan; 3 weeks base vacation and an office shutdown between Christmas and New year.
