Overview
We seek a committed Christian leader who is passionate about disciplining young people through the Gospel. The ideal candidate will be an experienced minister who can effectively connect with youth, parents, and adult volunteers. This position requires demonstrated experience in equipping youth for ministry and fostering their spiritual growth.

Position Details
  • Hours: Flexible, 20 hours per week
  • Office Requirements: Some in-office hours required
 
Responsibilities
  • Lead the church’s efforts to minister to youth aged 11 to 18.
  • Reach out to unchurched youth in the community, share the Gospel, and integrate them into the church’s ministry.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor volunteers for the church’s youth ministry.
  • Collaborate with youth leaders and senior church leadership to develop and manage an annual youth ministry budget.
  • Create a comprehensive Bible teaching plan tailored to address the spiritual, emotional, and developmental needs of the youth.
  • Teach the Bible regularly with conviction, compassion, and care.
  • Provide ministry support and resources for parents within the church.
  • Assist with general pastoral duties as needed (e.g., weddings, funerals, counseling).
  • Establish a long-term vision for youth engagement within the church.
  • Preach or teach in adult worship services when requested.
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the youth ministry.
  • Report on youth ministry activities and developments to church leadership.
  • Oversee all youth summer camping activities.
  • Plan and lead short-term mission trips (local, domestic, and international).
  • Collaborate with other church leaders to create ministry opportunities for youth within the broader church community.
  • Review and ensure the church’s children’s ministry curriculum aligns with doctrinal commitments.
  • Participate in all staff meetings and retreats.
 
Requirements
  • A deep understanding of and willingness to serve within the church’s doctrinal commitments.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in youth ministry, including volunteer mentorship.
  • Strong leadership skills, particularly in diverse ethnic, socio-economic, and generational contexts.
  • A passion for teaching and mentoring youth in biblical truth.
  • Ability to pass a full background check.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A growing Christian faith and godly character.
  • A commitment to the church’s mission and vision.
  • A clear calling to pastoral ministry.
  • A lifestyle aligned with the biblical qualifications for church leadership (1 Timothy 3:1–13; 2 Timothy 2; Titus 1:5–9).
